Perennial wildflower

Mature size:  1 to 8 feet tall

Flowers:  Midsummer to early winter

Soil:  Best in well-drained, sandy, acid soil, extremely drought tolerent

Light:  Full sun to partial shade

Propogation:  Division (they spread underground, so they are easily propogated by dividing,) cuttings, seeds


Planted at edge of tree line, it'll bend out towards the sun.  Does not cause hay fever, gets mixed up with ragweed, which blooms at the same time.  Great planted with Liatris.
